A Note of Thanks

Working for a volunteer effort has its share of challenges, but a six-pack
of Red Bull and
a pat on the back is all it takes to keep the HTML Swiss
Army Knife going. While his attempts at a Red Bull sponsorship have failed
thus far, The HTML Knife would like to thank EX's readers for their show of appreciation—even when
it's occasionally expressed in an
unusual manner
(look for the "ANN at War?" response).
In a more orthodox token of appreciation, EX
was recently awarded a Project Cool Sighting by Glenn Davis at Project Cool. Trés cool, and merci
beaucoup!
What's in a Name?

Apparently a lot, if your name is Imagawa. While the famed director of
GIANT ROBO left the production of
CHANGE! GETTER ROBO, rumors have it that
Bandai Visual wanted his name on the credits anyway. Hey, it's good marketing.
While Imagawa's brilliant touch will no doubt be missed—no
Shining Finger pun intended—the HTML Knife
surmises that GETTER ROBO may actually see
completion before the end of the millennium.
My Name is Snake... Solid Snake.

If the PlayStation is showing its age, it's aging rather gracefully,
and it's poised to go out with a bang. METAL GEAR
SOLID proved to be one heck of a rollercoaster ride: short
yet thrilling, it beckons the player to take it for several spins
before he puts it down. Best of all, this motion-sickness-prone HTML Knife doesn't have to slap a medicated patch
behind his ear to enjoy!
And in what may prove to be PlayStation's grand finale, there's
FINAL FANTASY VIII looming on the horizon. Time
for this gamer to dust off the dictionaries and stand in line—patience
may be a virtue, but the HTML Knife won't be
waiting a year for the translated version.
Coming next issue...

Rummaging around the mess on his desk—piles of CDs, empty cans of caffeinated beverages, and stacks
of Newtype mags—the HTML Knife unearthed
up the Magic 8-ball and asked:
"What's in EX 3.7?"
Replied the 8-Ball: "Hazy. Unclear. Ask again later."
Shaking the device more vigorously, the
HTML Knife asked again: "But will there
be one more issue before year's end?"
Said the 8-Ball: "You can count on it."
It'd be a shame to let our readers go empty-handed.
While EIC Charles is hard at work
planning the features, the HTML Knife
will make like a dripping faucet and leak the name of a few
planned reviews.
First, there's the aforementioned CHANGE! GETTER ROBO.
Joining the nostalgia bandwagon is the GALAXY EXPRESS
999 MOVIE: ETERNAL FANTASY. And last but not least, our
high-heeled, gum-chewing, buma-@$$-kicking
heroines are back. Kick it, Baby!
